From China to Valencia CF’s Ciudad Deportiva to learn more about Spanish football and LaLiga
A delegation from the Chinese Football Association takes part in a training programme with VCF Academy coaches
The VCF Cadete A side and a combined VCF Femenino C and D team won the prestigious JSSL 7s tournament in Singapore in their respective categories.
In the men's category of the Under-16s tournament, VCF Cadete A beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the final with a goal from Gabriel Alón, having already beaten the English team 4-0 in the group stage. They previously faced Urawa Reds from Japan, Melbourne City from Australia, Bangkok United from Thailand, JSSL and Anza Socceroos from Singapore and Johor DT.
In the women's category, the joint VCF Femenino C and D team beat Omiya of Japan 1-0 in the final with a great goal from Daniela Hellín. In the group stage they had played Sporting Clube de Portugal and Persi Ban Dung, then won against RCD Espanyol in the semifinals.
These wins in the JSSL 7s tournament showed off the work that the VCF Academy do with nearly 450 players at the Ciudad Deportiva on a daily basis.
